I'm a 4th grade teacher at a Title 1 school in Louisiana, which means that many of our students come from disadvantaged families. I love to teach and see the reactions of my students when they get it.
My students are eager to learn reading and math skills, but need manipulatives to replace activities that require writing. Our school limits us to the amount of worksheet copies we can make. Having copies is critical when teaching 4th grade curriculum and having extra practice worksheets to prepare them for their LEAP test. If we had an Elmo in our room, we could do group activities big enough for everyone to see! We could also get in extra practice to prepare us for the big TEST day. Having this great tool will allow us to work together as well, and learn from each other. Kids learn best when they are having fun, and an Elmo would be fun for everyone, including the teacher!
I need an Elmo projector that will motivate and actively engage students in the learning process. The Elmo projector will allow me to show books, paper, and manipulatives on the whiteboard in place of making worksheets. Elmo will help my students achieve the skills required in order to pass the LEAP test in Louisiana.
Your help will make it possible for my students to be engaged in visual learning. You will help my students reach their fullest potential with your generous donation! We are so appreciative of anything given to us, please help us achieve our goals of literacy!
