My Students

Our students have strong character and close relationships with each other. We are proud of the respectful role models our students are to one another and within our community. We have approximately 150, 4th-6th grade students in our middle school. Our school has a total of 6 general education teachers and 4 special area teachers. We are located in a close knit, rural forest area, in Eastern Arizona. We are a Title I school, with many students and families who are low income.

My Project

Unfortunately, there are many past and recent safety issues that affect school communities in our country. Our students and teachers have heightened safety concerns for our own school. We are asking for funding to pay for Midland two way radios, so that all teachers will have a device to communicate with in the event of a school emergency. I feel the ability to effectively communicate will enhance emergency procedures our faculty already has in place. Our students will feel more secure knowing their teachers can communicate with outside sources of help if an emergency arises, and so will our teachers. Please help us feel safer in our school! Thank you!
