My Project
The school garden started as a summer project by the visually impaired middle schoolers. The school also has a garden club that anyone can join. The garden club meets two days a month and the students complete any needed maintenance, planting, building new beds, etc. On Fridays, the students with visual impairments and some students in one of the self-contained classrooms, who have completed all assignments, can also work in the garden.
Our biggest need for the garden now is garden dirt for the new raised beds we are building.
We are also asking for seeds to plant in the garden--vegetable seeds, herb seeds, wildflowers and flowers for monarch butterflies.
