Students who enter my classroom are bright, young individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. My school has a very high percentage of students receiving free lunch. Many students in my school struggle to bring a pencil or paper to class. My school has a garden that students have the chance to work in.
I believe every student can be successful.
In my classroom; students are taught to work hard every day no matter what they are facing in life. I believe that every student is able to overcome and triumph. Many of my students rise to my expectations through their behavior and classwork.
My Project
This project contains items that will be used to create a break out/escape room in the classroom. The locks will be used to lock items. Students will work through stations to find codes to open the locks. The bins will be used to lock items in that students need in order to open the final box and escape from the classroom. The pens and flashlights will be used in multiple stations to add suspense and fun to the break out/escape room.
Engaging students is one of the keys to meaningful learning.
When students are engaged and enjoying the activities they are more likely to remember the topics covered. The break out/ escape room would be engaging to students and help them learn and remember the science material that has been taught.
