This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our mission is to inspire students to end social isolation and create cultures of belonging for everyone. We are building a future where all youth are accepted, valued, and included, and all of our differences are celebrated.
No One Eats Alone Day teaches students how to make friends and create a culture of belonging.
Your donations of snacks will help support our student-led, social justice movement empowering students to become activists and change the culture of schools. On February 21st, 2025 the entire school will participate in national No One Eats Alone Day. Student will get two snacks, one for themselves and one to share with someone else. Students will then engage in conversation over snacks with a peer they normally wouldn't engage with ensuring no one eats alone.
When students are in charge and empowered, students to make these changes. They do so enthusiastically and, most importantly, the changes stick.
We believe that transformative social-emotional learning (SEL) is the key to disrupting social isolation and that young people have the power to change the world, starting with how they treat each other at school and online.
