My Students
My students are incredible people. Each day I work with a different elementary grade level. Our community faces many challenges that often arise in a low socioeconomic area. Our students struggle with chronic absenteeism, while their families face an array of challenges including homelessness (which we refer to as "houselessness" since your home is where your heart is).
Despite the challenges that our students face, they are open, caring, have a genuine curiosity about the world and unlimited potential.
My Project
I work with students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. This year we are doing some really incredible block coding on computers and with the Unruly SPLAT program. We are expanding our program to include working with robots. My goal is to creating a charging area for the robots using positively reviewed and safe products. The USB chargers and surge protected power strips will be able to power all of our robots simultaneously.
Your donations will go towards creating a dedicated charging station for our new robots so that they will always be charged and ready for the students.
