Our school has over 800 students in grades K-5- one of the largest elementary schools in the state of Wisconsin. My class is a multiage classroom comprised of both third and fourth-grade students. Although students are at different grade levels, they learn alongside and from each other. Students are in my class for both their third and fourth-grade years, which provides me the opportunity to make deep connections with each student as well as their families. The hardest part is letting them move on to fifth grade at the end of their fourth-grade year!
My students are curious, eager learners anxious to discover more about their world.
They ask questions. They search out the answers. Each of my students is unique and have their own interests. I love watching each of my students get excited about learning!
My student desks quickly become a black hole! Students are constantly digging through their desks looking for their notebook, crayon box, or scissors. It's amazing how things get lost in a student's desk! Every time students clean their desks, it's amazing what they unearth from the back of their desks! Sometimes they find missing assignments, and other times they might pull out something that sort of resembles the sandwich they lost last week! :)
Providing students with these trays will help promote organization so that students can spend more time learning and less time rifling through their desk.
Students will be able to store folders and notebooks for all of their subjects in these trays. When students are organized, they are more productive as they focus their energy on learning rather than searching. These trays will allow for an organized work environment as everything will have a proper place to be stored.
