Help me give my students tools to use on their iPads to complete assignments. They need headphones so that they can learn independently and a stylus so that they can write and annotate over text more clearly.
I work in a elementary school that is located in a very rural area and many students come from low socio-economic families. We are blessed with a county that values 21st century learning and we are 1:1 with iPads. Students have iPads at school K-5 that they use daily.
My fifth grade students are eager to learn using their iPads and my goal is to make my classroom as "flat" as possible.
I integrate technology into all of our reading and math lessons through the use of various applications and websites. My goal is to prepare my students through the use of technology to be prepared for jobs that don't even exist yet.
My Project
My students need tools to help them use their iPads to their potential. Headphones allow for students to have individualized learning opportunities. Having a stylus will help them to solve math problems and annotate over text more clearly. We would like to be as paperless as possible and these two tools will help tremendously!
As a teacher I need an Apple Pencil so that I am able to circulate around the room and help students while teaching.
Having an Apple Pencil will help make my writing more legible on my iPad for students to see and allows me to not be tied to the board as I teach. While I circulate I will be able to clearly see how my students are performing during the lesson and assist if necessary.
