My students come from a low income area where they struggle to buy the essentials necessary to attend school. My students are a mixture of 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who are ambitious and ready to start school but sometimes lack the means and the knowledge to do so.
Many of these students have a desire to go to college but they lack the finances to attend and it is my goal for each student to have the opportunity to attend the secondary education of their choice.
I know my students come to school and want to be successful but they need help from generous people such as yourselves to make it in our modern society.
My Project
Do you know how depressing a student would feel to walk into a classroom with blank, white walls? It is not only heartbreaking, but it also effects the way students learn. Students need Print-Rich classrooms where new educational information is posted on a daily basis.
Students should be able to look around their classroom and learn something new every day and this is what I want to achieve with this project.
My classroom is not as decorated as I need it to be because I do not have the funds nor the means to purchase a printer. I have done what I can to bring some color and life to my room, but it is not enough. My students deserve better! They require a classroom where the walls have new information posted about possible colleges they can attend and careers they can strive to join. This will only be possible with your help.
With your donation of 2 Brother LaserJet Printers, Replacement Ink Cartridges, and cases of paper will help my students enter a classroom they can be proud of. These items will directly affect their test scores and their attendance. They will want to come to a colorful, lively class! I will use both printers to update my classroom daily with new information that students can read and learn about. One printer will be available for students to use when necessary and the other for me, the teacher! The ink the cartridges and paper I requested will fill us back up to allow us to continue working and improving the atmosphere around the room! All these things are a necessity to help me get my new classroom updated and refreshed for the new bright students I have this year and many years to come!
