Help Us Create a SUPER Organized Independent Writing Center
My students need paper trays, supplies caddies, book bins, two-pocket folders and an cart to help organize and get all that they can out of our writing learning center.
My students are a group of inquisitive, kind and active kindergarteners. They love to communicate their ideas, and they are learning to so in Spanish!
Our schools implements a Spanish Immersion program which provides literacy and content instruction to all students through two languages, English and Spanish, and promotes bilingualism and biliteracy, grade-level academic achievement, and sociocultural competence.
I teach Spanish to two classes of loving kindergarteners, 46 students all together. They are learning to express their ideas and thoughts in Spanish as they practice their writing skills daily in our independent writing center.
My Project
The materials and resouces this project requires will be used to better organize our Spanish writing center. The mobile cart with all the writing materials will be organized by colors based on my literacy groups. Resources will be easily accesible and it won't be complicated for my students to identify the materials the need to get in order to complete their writing task. By using a mobile cart, it will be possible to place it anywhere in our classroom based on our needs.
Students are already writing excellent pieces of writing about many different topics and genres.
