This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Thanks to generous donors, the class received some laptops. I was very excited until I realized that my old router died over the summer! My students won't be able to access our website and all the activities, links, and projects I created or selected for them... The window on the world just closed!

My public school tries to offer the best to our kids who come from economically disadvantaged families.

75% of our students are African American alongside with Latin and Asian children. This situation offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and team work while discovering new perspectives. However, our school and our families can't afford the sources we need to support academic knowledge and significantly improve student achievement.

My Project

Who will be our class-savior? As a 21st century teacher, I want students to feel competent using the technology they'll need in real life. The router would enable the class to access the internet and therefore our class website that I used extensively. In other words, students would be able to review lessons, practicing their skills, and research using up-to-date sources. They would be able to complete the webquests I designed for them or participate in a Thinquest. The security locks I am requesting would make sure our laptops stay in the classroom; once in the past, a machine vanished forever...

This wonderful donation would really save the life of the class.

Additionally, you would give my fourth graders a chance to compete in the world and boost their motivation to study and create. Thank you in advance for helping education!
