My Students

I have a little over 100 5th grade students. They are starving for some unique, fun, and exciting ways to learn! With our state not helping teachers meet the needs of their students, I am trying to take matters into my own hands! Therefore, I am asking for help to let our students know people care and want to see them succeed!

I would describe my school as a very large school.

All of the students qualify for a free breakfast; therefore, majority of them qualify for a free lunch.

My Project

I want to add another way to learn in my classroom by using task cards! Task cards are excellent to use for all learners, because they can be leveled to meet the needs of your students. This is also nice break from your everyday worksheets!

I want students to continue to learn in a fun, exciting, and unique way.

I will buy a pegboard to display the task cards. I will have a large variety of task cards available for the students. The task cards will contain 5th grade Language Arts skills that students will be tested on for their state tests.

The watercolor materials will be used as another exciting way for my students to learn, while having fun! Unfortunately our school does not have an art class for 5th graders. Every year I do a variety of art projects with them, because the students crave art!
