Many of them needed something to help expel the excess energy and deal with the fidgets, which in turn prevented them from focusing attention on their academics.\r\n\r\nThe Bouncy Bands have been an awesome addition to my classroom. In the past, I have only had a few bands for select students. The other students questioned why they didn't have one and wanted/needed one.\r\n\r\nThanks to your program, I have been able to purchase quality bands for every desk in my classroom. The students were so excited the day they came into the room and realized each desk had a Bouncy Band.\r\n\r\nIt has made a marked difference in their attention, attitude and academic achievement. I admit that after school, I sometimes sit in one of their seats to do my grading. It allows me to release some of my own pent-up energy and unwind before I go home.\r\n\r\nHere are some quotes from the students:\r\n\r\n * I like the bands a lot, they help me focus.\r\n * I love the stress bands because they relax my legs.\r\n * The stress bands are perfect for me to be able to fidget with my legs.\r\n * Thank you for the desk bands. I use the stress bands when I am frustrated and \r\n having trouble with my work.\r\n * I've seen them in your classroom and a couple of others. It upset me that I didn't \r\n have one. You have provided our school with materials that we can continue to use for years.\r\n\r\nEvery year we invite veterans from our community to our school. Our materials were severely outdated and many were no longer in an acceptable condition. Students and staff alike anxiously awaited the deliveries. We received flags and books for all the branches of our military as well as updated Veterans Day decorations. \r\n\r\nA picture was posted on Facebook of some of our new flags. Our school had so much positive feedback from the community. Veterans were thrilled to see what we were doing to promote our country, veterans, and the military. \r\n\r\nSeveral of the veterans who posted responses to our Facebook page were able to come and visit with our students and share their stories/experiences. \r\n\r\nOur students learned a lot while interacting with our honored guests.
