Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The four Chromebooks we are requesting will give our 4th-grade students greater access to essential digital learning tools. Currently, students share devices, limiting their ability to engage in interactive lessons, research, and individualized learning programs. More Chromebooks will allow students to practice math and reading skills using adaptive software, collaborate on projects, and develop critical 21st-century technology skills. Increased access means fewer barriers to learning and more opportunities for growth.

Our goal is to create a more equitable learning environment where every student can use technology to enhance their education.

With these Chromebooks, we aim to:

- Provide personalized learning opportunities through adaptive educational platforms.

- Encourage collaboration on digital projects and research activities.

- Build confidence in using technology for academic success.

- Reduce wait times for computer access, ensuring all students can fully participate in learning.

Fifty percent of our students are economically disadvantaged, meaning many have limited access to technology outside the classroom. Despite challenges, they are bright, curious, and eager to learn. These Chromebooks will not just be devices; they will open doors to new possibilities, helping our students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
