it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The specific items we are requesting, cameras and sd cards, will make a significant difference in our students' learning by providing them with the necessary tools to explore the world of photography hands-on! With access to cameras, they will have the opportunity to capture moments, discover their artistic perspectives, and express themselves creatively.
These items will empower our students to grow as photographers and storytellers, fostering critical thinking skills and giving them a democratic platform to amplify their voices through visual art.
We want them to utilize the power of visual storytelling to communicate their thoughts, experiences, emotions, and ideas effectively. By providing them with cameras, we aim to cultivate a strong sense of self-confidence and inspire a passion for the arts that will extend beyond the classroom.
What makes our students special is their determination to expand the arts within our school community! They have already demonstrated their ability to drive change by advocating for the growth of the ceramics program in just a short year. Their passion for the arts and their desire to establish a photography program further exemplifies their dedication to creative expression and enriching our school's artistic visions.
