Our students are so dedicated and hard-working. Last year, we formed our school's first drama club and we are continuing that this year. My students are creative, passionate, and outgoing. Our drama club is made up of 4th and 5th graders who have an interest in theater. This year, students from all grades at our K-5 school will get an opportunity to participate in our play. They range in age from 5 to 11.
These students deserve more opportunities to express themselves creatively.
Our school is located in a budding community; our area is developing and expanding every day. Our students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. The students in the drama club are motivated and hard-working.
We have a new drama club at our school that provides our students with a creative outlet where they can express themselves. This program reaches a diverse group of students and boosts their confidence. Involving students in fine arts also increases their academic achievements.
This year we have the opportunity to put on a play, 101 Dalmatians.
However, we don't have funds or resources to pull from and we need help putting our production together. We need sets and costumes to put on our play.
Last year, our 4th and 5th graders in the Drama Club put on a Drama Showcase that didn't require costumes or sets. The kids loved it and I want to expand their opportunities and get more of our school involved.
