Growing readers need a variety of texts to help them gain the skills they need to not only learn to read but to develop a love of reading and a perception of themselves as readers.
The SyllaSense collection will be a great addition to our school's shared book room where teachers can go to check out texts to use for literacy instruction.
These books follow a scope and sequence to help students build the phonological awareness skills that they will need to become proficient readers and writers. Plus, the stories are engaging and the photo series includes remarkable images that make me want to pick up the books and learn more!
