As we get ready to welcome a brand-new group of bright, curious first graders, I’m reaching out with a humble request from the heart of our classroom.
In first grade, imagination is everything. It’s how we learn, connect, and discover who we are. Whether we’re painting a story, building with glue and paper, or drawing our wildest dreams in crayon, these little hands are always busy creating something beautiful. To help nurture that creativity, we need some essential supplies—simple things like paint, crayons, pencils, glue, and sturdy paper. They may seem small, but in our classroom, they become the tools of transformation. With a brush and a bit of watercolor, a child can turn a blank page into a masterpiece. With cardstock and a glue stick, they can build worlds. Your support means more than just materials—it means moments of joy, confidence, and self-expression that our students will carry with them all year long.
