Help me give my students a safe, clean classroom as the school building plan to reopen. My students need mask, hand sanitizer, air purifier to make sure they are breathing clean air.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As an educator in a low-income and high poverty school area, my students are faced with challenges over which they have no control. Our students meet the federal poverty level with 100% of our students are from low-income families. All students are eligible for free lunch. My school is located in a low-income and high-crime neighborhood. My students are important to me and I need to ensure they are making progress. The majority of our students walk to school alone and I worry about them every day.
Despite the statistics, my students require special attention, time, and assistance.
I believe my children should have an opportunity just as students anywhere within or outside the city limits.
I teach at an elementary setting and all of my students are special needs. All the students are having academic challenges and in dire need of manipulative and reading materials to accommodate their special needs. While being at home, I would like to provide my students with more technology opportunities and hands-on materials to ensure they can grasp the standards introduced to them.
My Project
I am responsible for over 25 students with special needs. I am great need of an air purifier, sanitizer, gloves and other material to ensure my students are safe in the classroom. The school system is planning to reopen soon and I would like to be safe and healthy as I provide quality education to my students.
Being a teacher does not consist of providing meaningful instruction, but ensuring all students are safe, healthy and alive.
I would like an air purifier to ensure there is clean air within our classroom as we are unable to leave our classrooms. The disinfect cleaner is needed to clean the desk, handles, compeers and common areas that the students touch frequently. The mask and gloves are needed to assist with make sure the students are COVID free. As practice social distancing , wearing a mask if mandatory. The students need the sanitizer to keep their hands clean throughout the day. The use of gloves are needed to clean the classroom and staying safe as well. Being healthy consist of the students temperature being checked to ensure they are feelings well. Lastly the headphones will assist with me teaching virtual and in class my students are able to hear me without me shouting over the noise in the background.
