Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has a STEAM (science, technology, engineering and math) Magnet program that families can apply for beginning in Kindergarten. We need materials to help prepare our students to succeed in this program. We had a chance to borrow a couple of the Programmable Robot Mice this year and our students LOVED them. It was amazing to watch how easily they learned to use them, and watch them working through challenges and learning problem solving skills. We would love to have a set of three of these mice for our classroom, as well as accessories to enhance their experience with them.
We are also hoping to get a set of Coding Critters.
They are similar to the Robot Mice, but these Robot Dinosaurs have a story book that comes with them, connecting STEM to literature and making the materials even more engaging for our students.
