My Students
Students in my classroom are military dependents and local residents of a large town in Hawaii. Our school is a Title I school which means we have a high percentage of students from low-income families. Furthermore, our school has a transient population due to the students with parents in the military.
My students are fun loving preschool-aged, special education students.
Students have different disabilities such as autism, speech delay, and developmental delay but they are eager, bright, and love to learn about everything! I hope to make their first experiences in school fun and engaging!
My Project
My students love circle time. Dancing to songs and singing familiar songs are loads of fun to them. In my classroom we currently use a CD player and I would like to upgrade the current boom box to use our new iPad (which we already have) along with a bluetooth speaker. I also would like to utilize Ebooks with the iPad and the bluetooth speaker will enable me to do this for my students. I also would like to replace our worn headphones at our listening center with new ones.
Students will increase their opportunities to listen to songs and stories with the speaker and headphones.
This will increase their listening comprehension skills!
