My students come to school from various backgrounds each day. Each student brings their own kind of strengths and struggles. Each day they come to our school-family to push themselves to accomplish great things and give their very best individual effort. My class is enthusiastic and unique! Our goal is to "Make the world more awesome!" We are doing this with kindness, hard work, service, and by training our brains.
My third graders are not afraid to work, so I am working hard to give them as many meaningful learning experiences as possible.
If you prompt one of these amazing students with "We do..." They will finish it for you and say "We do hard things!" with enthusiasm. They are worth every investment, sacrifice, and more! They will shape the world with their knowledge and character and make the world more awesome!
My Project
Our classroom is FINALLY on a one-to-one Chromebook ratio!! PHEW! We are so excited for this priceless gift. However, we need computer mice and mouse pads to fully utilize this resource.
Computer Mice and Mousepads will give students the confidence and ability to use many programs successfully in a technology driven world.
In third grade we learn typing, math, reading, writing, science, etc. Much research has gone in to finding support programs that will scaffold and solidify concepts taught in each of these areas. Some of the programs that use manipulatives or intricate cursor movement are I-Math, ImagineLearning, ImagineMath, and Nearpod. Each of these programs offer an array of tools for students to utilize while researching or finding solutions to problems. However, one thing that students are still struggling with is maneuvering those darn finger pads! Learning a new concept is hard enough without topping it off with the frustration of not being able to move your cursor or manipulatives the right way.
It is so important that our class get Computer Mice and Mousepads this year. These tools will help our chaos and frustration become organized and inspired. Computer Mice and Mousepads will help us experience success while utilizing our Chromebooks effectively. Help us fight the battle with the finger pads by donating to our classroom today.
