My Students

I have 23 of the most energetic and enthusiastic third graders!

These students have a very high attendance rate and love school.

Our school is a lower socioeconomic K-5 school with a high degree of diversity and an active PTSO/parent community. Our school population is approximately 500 students. As a Title I school, many of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

During the past year, we have started the process of becoming an AVID Elementary certified school in order to better serve our students.

My Project

Wireless headphones will help get my students on task more quickly and avoid wasting time untangling headphone cords. This will allow students to have more time practicing and applying skills on various classroom learning resources on the computer during our station times.

Maximizing student practice time will help to increase their achievement in reading and math.

It will also help students eliminate the frustration cause by tangled cords when they pick up their headphones. Nobody likes to start a learning task with frustration, especially an eager student trying to get on task quickly! Let's get these kids working as soon as possible!
