My Project
The financial situation in most school districts is one of tightening budgets, and my school is no different. This year, I will have no budget to purchase the books that students have been requesting, some of which have been waiting over a year. While we can direct students to the public library, we would always prefer to be able to meet their needs.
Our students love to read!
In our library, we support the literacy of over 3500 students in grades 7-12. We serve them best when we have books that interest them, when students see themselves reflected in books, and when we can offer them books which provide windows into different experiences. This list is a mix of books that students have specifically requested, and others selected to fill gaps in our nonfiction collection.
