it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are talented musicians with whom I have the pleasure of making music every single day. No two of them are alike and they form a strong family within the instrumental music program at our school. They all have the passion to play music and bring with them a variety of skills and talents from their unique personal situations. They all come from different home situations, education levels, cultural backgrounds, and self-identities.
With their strong passion and talent, there are still many students who do not have the ability to own their own instrument or to obtain private lessons, so we work to providing the highest quality materials, instruction, and educational opportunities here at our school each and every day.
They are hard-working and resourceful and worth all the love and support I can give them to develop into better musicians and people.
My Project
Though all of our students have individual Chromebooks for school use to do work, these devices are not useable in our outdoor and indoor competitive marching groups to assist as midi controllers or sample controllers in our shows. We currently have an iPad that we have used for many years but it is the original Apple iPad mini model and is many years past receiving any more updates or technical support. Most apps won't even load or are not compatible with our device. We are in desperate need of an updated tablet (along with all cables and accessories) to get us up to date and provide our students with the opportunity to use appropriate technology!
