My Project

I have a large group of wonderful first grade students, with another large group coming up next year. The biggest hurdle we have struggled with this year on a daily basis is having a place to neatly store everything. Our desks become super messy because we quickly have many items and no idea how to organize as first graders.

I would like to combat this problem with the easy fix of using seat sacks on the back of each students chair and a one inch binder in each desk.

This sack would allow students to store their folders, crayons, pencils, scissors, and a leveled reader on their chair and out of their desk. The binder inside their desk would house their math and language resources, their spelling word list, and extra paper. This would easily leave room for their math tool kit inside their desk. We would be able to keep clean desks year round, but easily access things from our chair when we need it and have our other needed resources handy and organized inside our desks.
