Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is left upswept and not cleaned on a daily basis due to lack of janitorial staff.
My students are taught to maintain cleanliness in our classroom because it should always be a place where they feel safe and clean to follow through with daily classroom activities.
Unfortunately, we can only do so much with the minimal supplies we are given. Often, the bathrooms have no soap for the students to wash their hands or paper towels to dry them. Additionally, there is constant mouse remnants that we are forced to clean up after with no cleaning supplies provided.
My Project
By providing us with basic cleaning/hygiene supplies you will be helping in maintaining a germ free classroom! My students will not have to use rough toilet paper to blow their noses and have to air dry their no soap hands after "washing" them. It will also help in avoiding unnecessary trips to the bathroom after spills if we have basic cleaning supplies on hand.
These generous donations will help to keep our classroom clean and learning-friendly.
We sincerely appreciate the fact that we will be able to follow through with classroom activities without having to worry about going from classroom to classroom asking for tissues to blow their nose or paper towels to clean up a spill.
