Help me give my students the chance to pick up a book and be transported through literacy to another world, or dive deeper into understanding their own.
Attending elementary school in the heart of San Francisco, my students roam through a concrete landscape on their way to school in the morning. They come from all over the city, and some even across the bay, to a community focused on teaching acceptance and awareness. Our school's pledge:

My students are curious and creative. They ask questions about how our world functions, think critically about phenomenons they observe, and create solutions for challenges they see. My students are the future innovators of our community and our world.
My Project
Reading can be tough, not only do you have to read the words, but teacher's expect you to LEARN from the book?! There are so many engaging, inspiring, and exciting books that kids LOVE to read. Please help bring a love of literacy into my classroom for learners who have been struggling to read. My students connect to books about animals, graphic novels, and books about mystery and adventure.
