This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend an inner-city elementary school in a low, socioeconomic community. Many are from single parent homes, live in multi-family homes, live in subsidized housing, qualify for free or reduced price breakfast and lunch and have other obstacles that they face on a daily basis.

Despite these obstacles, the one constant is that they all come to school ready and eager to learn.

My students are at a point in their life where they are learning how to be responsible, respectful and safe by keeping themselves and our classroom organized.

My Project

Our school recently became a one-to-one school for 3-6 graders. Whit this, come a new emphases on incorporating technology into our learning. The variety of computer-based programs is phenomenal, however we now have several logins that we have to remember. The cardstock will help my students have cards with their login information on it.

My students are engaged when they are completing computer-based learning games and Science activities.

Along with the computer-based activities, my students also need materials to help them learn Science, which is presented through use of videos and activities found online. The light chipboard will help my students successfully complete and carry out these activities.
