This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is located in the Southwest side of Chicago. In a predominately Latino neighborhood. The majority of our students are multilingual learners and come from low income households.

These basic supplies will ensure students have everything they need to continue growing their Spanish skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

These skills are developed through comprehensible input activities. The supplies in this campaign will stay in the Spanish classroom and will be used by all the students in the school. This includes Kindergarten all the way to 8th grade.
