Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all live in Providence, Rhode Island and come from high-poverty neighborhoods. Many of the students are English Language Learners and receive free breakfast and lunch. The school has students in grades 5-8.

Many students have a variety of challenges outside of school and school is a place where they prefer to be.

Our school motto is "Warriors Always Persevere" and the students display this everyday as they overcome many challenges. There are many great students in the school who do not have the same opportunities as students in other school districts.

My Project

Please consider donating to the Middle School Wrestling Team! The WBMS Warriors Wrestling Team took a huge step in year 2 of the program! The team is up to over 40 members and had 2 student athletes place in the State Tournament this year! We are looking to continue improving and growing the program in all areas next season.

This project is designed for next season to have the whole team have one matching set of team colored headgear.

This headgear is very nice; it is red which is our school color and easily adjustable for wrestlers to use over the years. The team is currently using all different colored, different styled, used headgear that was donated. Help us look good! Thank you for your consideration.
