This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My softball girls are an amazing group of young women. They work hard on the field and in the classroom. These girls have grown as athletes every practice, every game, every season. They have built a team that is founded on hard work, effort, and teamwork.

Last year we graduated 9 seniors and now our team is looking to rebuild and get new equipment for a minimum of 10 new girls to join our team!

I would like to provide our athletes with the necessary equipment to play softball, no matter what level of skill they have.

My Project

Our growing team will be bringing on at least 10 new team members this season. Many of these girls will be playing softball for the first time so we want to ensure they will have the team gear. The new balls and hitting equipment will help our squad continue our work on the diamond to get better, benefitting our hitters of all levels. Our program is continuing to grow and we will be a young hungry team this season and having the new equipment is going to go a long way to support our young female athletes here at LGJ.
