My Students
My softball and basketball girls are an amazing group of young women. They work hard on the athletic field and in the classroom. These girls have grown as athletes every practice, every game, every season. They have built a team that is founded on hard work, effort, and teamwork.
While sports have been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our hunger and passion to grow as student-athletes have not let down one bit!
I would like to provide our athletes with the necessary workout equipment to workout and run at home, so when we return, they will literally hit the ground running!
My Project
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced our students to learn from home and has left them to spend most of their time on school work by themselves. Our student-athletes have been devastated by the pandemic cancelling entire seasons and leaving our girls to try and stay in shape on their own.
This project will allow me to create "Train from Home" sets for our girls to run, lift and workout from the safety of their own homes.
The goal is to have the sets distributed and we will be able to organize group workout sessions 3-4 times a week to keep our fitness and to allow the girls to have equipment to work out on their own.
Not only will this help them stay in shape and build our team bond during this pandemic, it will also help the girls develop life long workout routines and skills that will help them lead healthy lives long after high school.
