This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is hard being a teenager in 2024. The world is uncertain and they are filled with strong emotions, that change all the time. People expect teenagers to be mature but it truth, they are still children who need help dealing with their emotions.
Providing students with fidgets that they can use during class helps them moderate their energy and emotions.
They love having a little something to play with while they listen to the teacher or a classmate explain math, especially at the beginning of the period when they come in from brunch or lunch.
I have boxes on each group of desks with pencils and dry erase markers. The fidgets could easily fit in these boxes and give the students something to play with that are not my classroom markers.
