Help Support our School Library and Increase Circulation
Help me give my students exciting library books for our Media Center by donating towards necessary materials that will increase the durability and shelf life!
In May 2024, our library was awarded a mini-grant from the organization First Book Awards. They provide books for Title I schools, who often struggle with funding. Due to an increase in student performance, our school lost a significant amount of our Title I funding for this school year. Therefore, there is no money available for the library.
Despite the lack of funding, the books from the mini-grant (and others that we will receive in the future from Book Fair profits) require basic supplies for processing and getting shelf-ready.
Materials such as labels, label protectors, Dur-a-Lar film for protecting book covers, and colored dots for identifying the book's genre/section are needed to help prepare these books to enter our students' hands.
Your donations to this project would help to ensure that the newly acquired books can be made available to students and last for years to come! You would also be supporting an increase in book circulation, since all new books ordered have a publication date of 5 years or newer and are relevant for our students.
