My Students

The students whom we teach at our high needs school include students with intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, and autism. We also have a large number of English Language Learners in our school.

The students have unique needs and struggle daily with significant communication and learning needs.

They work everyday on their life skills, daily living skills and communication. We work with them on communicating and learning.

A large population of the students whom we teach already have communication and learning difficulties, however with your help they will be able to learn skills that will help them both in school and in the community. This project will impact over 700 middle school students every school year.

My Project

My students need Scooters, Fitbits, and Kindles to help support our school wide bully prevention program and school culture. I would love to be able to provide the students with the Scooters and Fitbits to help reward good attendance, bully prevention, and physical fitness. I would like the students to become more successful in school and in the community. Our eventual goal is to help them become more independent, lifelong learners, and to help stop bullying. I would also like to provide the students Kindle tablets which will be used to support our bully prevention program and school culture.

This project will make a difference schoolwide by helping the students communicate, become more independent, develop school spirit, focus on their learning, help stop bullying, and become lifelong learners.

This project will not only impact the students academically in school but also throughout the time in their community and future jobs.
