My Students
Our classroom includes 24 fabulous 4th grade learners. This ICT setting includes a mix of students with different learning needs and styles, which is why our teaching model include 2 classroom teachers.
Our school serves students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, with over 1,400 enrolled.
The student body is widely diverse and 58% of students come from low-income families. In our ICT classroom, we are striving to create a comfortable classroom environment in which students look forward to coming each day to develop their academic and social skills.
My Project
Last week our classroom ran out of toner for our printer. We've added our name to the school's waitlist, but we've been told it could be a long long wait! Our classroom printer helps support student learning and engagement every day. In an ICT classroom, differentiating lessons and being able to create handouts and other instructional materials that meet students' learning needs is key to our success.
In a school with approximately 1,400 students and 120 staff members, submitting and receiving copies in time can, understandably, be a challenge.
Our classroom printers are essential to our being prepared for lessons and also our ability to flexibly adapt lessons to meet students learning needs! We are increasingly adding technology into our instruction and having students work more and more on laptops, but having access to a functioning printer is critical to promoting technology learning and proficiency.
