Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This winter, I introduced a small but meaningful addition to my classroom: a Keurig machine offering coffee, tea, and hot cocoa to my students. This simple gesture has created a warm and welcoming environment, especially during these colder months. Many of my students balance demanding schedules, often juggling part-time jobs and other responsibilities alongside their studies. The availability of a hot drink has already made a noticeable difference in their engagement and comfort during class.
However, I’d love to take this initiative one step further by providing snacks as well.
A quick, nutritious snack can do wonders for students who may not have time for a proper meal before class. It can help them stay focused, energized, and ready to participate actively in their learning.
To make this possible, I’m reaching out to our community for support. Your contributions would definitely allow me to restock supplies as needed throughout the season.
