This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Newcomer students will use these supplies to improve their English acquisition, which can have cascading positive effects in their lives as they adjust to a new country and culture. These newcomer students have many incredible skills and dispositions, but they also face obstacles, such as underfunding as they navigate a new environment, and having the supplies to access materials that will help them learn English are a key support as we work to support these English learners. Thank you very much for your collaboration as we support these incredible, brave students.
