This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school wanting to learn more each day. They love setting goals for themselves throughout the school. Our school is a Title I school located in a low-socioeconomic area. Some of the students at our school are experiencing homelessness. Many of their parents work very hard to provide as much as they can. Sometimes work can be hard to find in our area. Still, they do their best to provide the needs of their children.
My students enjoy learning.
They come to school with smiles on their faces ready to take on each day's lessons. They love working together with their classmates. Even through their struggles, they want to learn. I want my students to be able to get the best education, no matter where they live or who they are.
My Project
We are always in need of simple supplies in our classroom. Pencils, crayons, and ink pens are used constantly in our classroom, therefore we go through them a lot quicker.
The electric pencil sharpener is being requested for my students because ours is at the end of its life.
Pencils are not sharpening very well anymore. The lead even falls out of the pencils right after sharpening.
Having these simple supplies funded for our class would make things so much easier for us to finish off the school year. Please consider helping our class by donating to this project. We would very much appreciate any support for our class.
