My Students
My students are intelligent, energetic, and curious young people who put incredible effort into everything they do. They swoop from class to class in a single bound, they leap flights of stairs with breathtaking agility and imagine to the furthest of the cosmos. They love engaging with narrative and are learning to analyze texts using higher order thinking skills which is a difficult skill to master.
Students at our school strive to embody an international standard of student excellence through the IB program.
We engage with texts from all over the world, all different perspectives and all time periods throughout the school day. There are however not always opportunities to engage in texts that they would select to use all of their academic skills on.
My Project
We need a projector screen. It would help us to maintain the pace and rigor that our students need. We often lose instructional time or work time fiddling with the projector or whiteboard because there is no fixed place to project.
We use videos, slideshows, and images to teach our students every single day.
Having this screen will help students see content clearly from anywhere in the room. Right now we project onto a whiteboard and students lose continuity when we have to erase content off of the board that they may need to use for reference, classwork, or future assignments.
