My students come from a diverse cultural population. A vast majority qualify for free or reduced lunch.They enjoy school especially when their work is on display. There is a lot of differentiation academically, I have some students who are on individual education plans and some who are extremely independent intellectually. My school is student centered, it is our goal to help our students become analytical thinkers. In addition we are an IB school, one of the few public ones in our region. This means that much of our curriculum is based on the IB rubric which gives educators a degree of autonomy in the classroom insofar as how we develop our curriculum and assessments. Lastly, my school has chromebook carts, so a lot of work is done on the computer.
