Help Students Learn to Read with a Nook.
My students need four Nookcolor eBook readers.
Do you remember the first time you used tablet technology or read on an ereader? Help my students feel that same feeling of sheer excitement with 4 Nookcolors.
We are a community of 31 2nd graders in a Title I school in Oregon.
We are learning how to increase our independence as learners and prepare for a 21st century life. Our district does not give a classroom budget for teachers to purchase supplies or materials for the classroom.
Our school population is 77% free and reduced-price lunch. There are a number of students who don't have regular access to technology. With four new Nookcolors, I could give every child access to tablet technology daily and build the love of reading. During this time students will be able to read books, work on phonics skills, build math computation skils, visit virtual labs and much, much more.
Please help me prepare my students for a 21st century life with 4 Nookcolors.
These Nookcolors will open doors that many students would never have had otherwise. They will allow us to discover far away lands, practice reading skills in a fun way and light the love of reading.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
