Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure of working with some of the sweetest special education students this year. They love learning and crafts. All of their academic levels are a lot lower than their peers in 6th grade so they need lots of extra, hands-on attention. They learn best with visuals and having tangible items/manipulatives. Right now, the classroom has very little supplies.

My Project

My students need lots of resources that are at lower grade levels than the grade they are actually in (6th grade). By receiving the TeachersPayTeachers gift cards, we will be able to get math, reading, and writing resources to use that are at their each and individual levels.

This is the students first year in middle school and I want to make it as best an experience as possible.

All of my students are SPED students with multiple different disabilities/abilities. So far, using the 6th grade material has been a challenge and I would love to be able to get material that best suites their individual needs.
