Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the past five years, we have built up a band program at our high school from scratch and the opportunity has transformed the music education experience of many students at our school. Unfortunately, the wear and tear on our instruments requires the purchase of new equipment. Currently, most of our microphones no longer work so we are looking to acquire five new microphones.
The microphones will be used in our band program where students learn and perform songs of their choice.
Additionally, students use microphones to learn to record their own music as well as produce podcasts and presentations for other subjects. The microphones will make student expression possible.
