My Students

"Who are we? We are STEM!" This is how our students begin each morning- chanting, dancing, and enthusiastically affirming our belief that we can accomplish ANYTHING we decide to work hard towards! We know that to accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream!

As the only STEM school in Manhattan, our students are scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians who dream of someday changing the world.

The students of STEM investigate and solve real-world problems while developing social and emotional strength- this will prepare them to make a difference in the world. We believe that all kids are capable of success, NO Exceptions!

My Project

Our brilliant scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians spend Friday afternoons engaged in creating culinary masterpieces while applying math concepts and science skills.

During Cooking Club, our budding chefs have a unique opportunity to apply their math and science skills in a real-world context!

Our students explore math concepts and science skills such as measurement, conversions, temperature, money, properties of matter, chemical reactions, etc. while also developing their communication and leadership skills. Cooking club is an important opportunity for the scientific inquiry!

Unfortunately, we are limited by a lack of resources. A blender, electric griddle, hand mixer, measuring cups, bowls, utensils, aprons, etc. will really help our chefs achieve their culinary dreams!
