My students need 2 new Lavalier microphones so that they can report the news to the rest of the school.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Extra, extra, we want to get the news out but we can't! My students make up the News Crew for our school but our microphones are very old and routinely cut off the reporters. Please help us replace our microphones so that we can start the school off each morning with good news.
My students are predominantly Hispanic, lower-middle class students from Miami, Florida.
They are eager learners who have limited access to experiences outside of their immediate environment. Working on the morning news show gives them experience with handling equipment and enhances their public speaking skills. Hopefully this experience may lead them to think about the field of broadcasting as something that is well within their reach as a career goal.
My Project
The wireless Lavalier microphones that we are in need of will allow my students to produce the morning news show without fear of interruptions to the sound. These microphones will make it possible for our "reporters" to move freely while reporting the day's news. In this way, they will be able to use diagrams, displays, etc. in the morning broadcast and will enhance the morning news experience for the entire school.
Your help will make our students start off their day in a positive and interesting way.
What better way to start off the day than with some (audible) great news? Let's give our students something to look forward to at the beginning of their day. Help us share our students' successes with the entire school - loud and clear!
