My Project
Our school is a small, K-8 charter school located in Minneapolis, MN. We have a 96% African-American student body and our school has focused on closing the opportunity gap for Black students since our founding in 2001.
For the first time, we will have a basketball team -- and your donations will help keep registration costs as LOW as possible for families!
This basketball team will not only allow our students an athletic outlet to remain healthy and happy outside of school hours, but it will also be an important tool to maintain academic engagement, positive student behavior, and ensure student attendance for students who struggle in these areas!
We have already worked to secure jerseys, which we believe will only cost our scholars about $11 yearly. These funds will be used to purchase basketball equipment that will help our team as well!
