These powerful graphic novels will be used in our 7th- and 8th-grade classrooms during our World War II and Civil Rights Era units.\r\n\r\nThrough these texts, students will explore history through personal stories that highlight themes of injustice, resilience, and the fight for civil rights. Students will analyze both books, compare and contrast these historical time periods, and draw thoughtful connections between the past and the current political climate we are living in today. The graphic novel format has been especially engaging, helping students connect more deeply with complex topics and strengthening their reading and critical thinking skills.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support shows our students that their learning matters and that people beyond their school believe in them.
