My Students

My elementary school services K-5 students in Philadelphia. The families and neighbors here are close and supportive. Unfortunately, the student population is 100% economically disadvantaged.

We are very proud of our school community.

We are a community of diverse students dedicated to becoming lifelong learners and productive citizens. All of the students here follow the 3 Rs which represent our core beliefs. The students are Respectful, Responsible and Ready.

My students will take full advantage of any generosity given to them. Thank you, for your consideration and time.

My Project

I am requesting materials to teach circuitry to my elementary school students in our makerspace. We will use these assets to combine science, technology, art, engineering, and math. Students will explore multiple disciplines to wire and light up their creations. With these resources, students can explore units on energy conservation, alternative energy, and power their engineering projects.

My students will develop crucial 21st Century Skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking as they learn to work with the circuitry equipment!

Students will love learning circuitry with the classroom Squishy Circuits kit. A mix of art and science comes together to create amazing projects. Copper tape and conductive, paint, batteries and mini LED lights will give my students an opportunity to power their art and engineering projects. We can do a lot of great things with this project and my students will grow in their knowledge, understanding, and abilities!
